A "uniform velocity" means that an object moves at a 5 without changing
6 (i.e. in a straight line). A "net force" means that the forces acting on the object are 7 . In other words, the first law states two things:
A 8 object will only move if there is an 9 force acting on it.
A 10 object will only 11 speed or 12 if there is 13 acting on it.
